ET Clip
Introduction
The ET (Embryo Transfer) Clip is designed to:
- Fix the outer catheter on to the speculum and minimise any forward movement of the intrauterine tip
- Allow a doctor a hands free, stable positioning of the embryo transfer catheter
- Enables the doctor to perform very steady ultrasound guided embryo transfer
- Aids to deposit the embryo accurately by maintaining a steady position within the uterine cavity
Information
Benefits
Sub-fertility is a problem for many couples. The ultimate goal of successful embryo transfer is to deliver the embryos automatically near the uterine fundus in a location where implantation is maximised.
The ET Clip is a simple and brilliant addition to the IVF procedure.
The ET Clip stabilises the catheter within the speculum, the cervix and the uterus, reducing the risk of any movement of the catheter and disturbance to the uterine wall.
Furthermore, use of the ET Clip frees the doctor to be able to collect the embryos by him/herself without the need for an assistant as the embryo transfer catheter is now fixed to the speculum
The meticulous ET technique minimises possible trauma and is of vital importance in optimising successful pregnancy outcomes for IVF/ICSI patients
